PAM can be divided into anionic PAMHPAM, cationic PAMCPAM, nonionic PAMNPAM according to the groups on the molecular chain. Different ionic PAMs have different characteristics, and they have a certain skill in practical applications.

Our customers have such confusion when choosing PAM, how can we choose high quality products. Here's how to identify the quality of PAM, and share with you the experience:

1. First of all, the appearance can be easily identified, the solid PAM is generally white particles or powder, there are also a yellowish yellow product. Emulsion type PAM is generally a colorless gelatinous fluid.

2. The solid content of dry powder PAM should meet the inspection standard of GB/T13940-92, and the solid content is generally between 88-90%.

3. Degree of hydrolysis is also a standard for testing the quality of PAM. The degree of hydrolysis of anionic PAM is generally about 26%. It can also produce products with different degrees of hydrolysis according to the actual needs of customers. The degree of hydrolysis of non-ionic PAM will not be >5%.

4. For anionic or non-ionic PAM, the larger the molecular weight, the better the quality. The actual value and the labeling error of the product should be controlled at around 5%. The smaller the error, the more stable the product performance.

5. PAM has a certain viscosity after dissolving in water. The viscosity can also check the quality of PAM. Generally speaking, the higher the PAM viscosity, the better the quality. Ukrainian viscosity method can be used to accurately detect the viscosity of PAM. (It is recommended that you do not touch your hands directly and have some damage to your skin.)
